Finished Knit: Neon Ski Bonnet

Saturday, December 29th, 2012

I worked furiously for a few days while at my mom’s house over the holidays, and finished my lovely ski bonnet!

Neon Ski Bonnet - Finished

I really needed a hat, but I wanted something that wasn’t a beanie. Knitting hats has always been frustrating, because my head is too big and I always have to modify the pattern quite a bit. I figured this style would allow for some flexibility, and I was right!

iPad Sleeve Design Contest

Saturday, May 12th, 2012

UPDATE: As of now, the winning design has TWELVE votes. TWELVE. That’s right. So please go vote for me – I’d be forever grateful!

Well, I have been down and out for the count with a possible case of Pertussis (whooping cough) for the past four days. I haven’t gotten the test results back yet, but I’m on antibiotics, so cross your fingers I feel better soon!

Since all I’ve been doing is laying around and feeling sorry for myself (I’m the biggest baby about being sick), I noticed a contest from Colour Lovers to design an iPad sleeve on Zazzle.

I’m a big fan of my iPad, so why not? Here’s my entry:

YOU SHOULD GO VOTE FOR ME.

THERE ARE ONLY 52 ENTRIES SO FAR – I THINK I ACTUALLY HAVE A SHOT!

If you enter the contest, let me know! I’d love to see other entries!

Tutorial: Sparkly Raindrop Pendant from Antique Fishing Lure

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012
