Need to Buy: The Most Perfect Bag

Tuesday, October 30th, 2012

I am just dying over the most perfect bag. If you know me, you know I have a bag obsession. Especially leather satchels. Mmm.

This is actually an ONA camera bag (which is wonderful, because it’s not always a good idea to dump your fancy camera in your purse!) but I’d put all my other stuff in there, too. Oh, and a knitting project!

At $309, it’s far from within my budget, but a girl can dream, right?
Christmas is coming up, too! *wink*

Thrift Store Find: 1947 Singer Dressmaker Guide

Sunday, October 21st, 2012

I found the coolest thing I’ve ever spent $.99 on yesterday at Savers – a Singer Dressmaker Guide dated 1942!

The sewing tips inside are timeless, of course, but the illustrations are particularly charming.

(Note the original $.25 price tag – holy inflation, Batman!)

Time to bust out Betty the Dressform and do some sewing!

Indie Obsession: Topaz Ring

Sunday, September 16th, 2012

This gorgeous topaz ring was on the front page of etsy today. I'm completely in love with it.

My dream (one of many) is to one day be an amazing metalsmith so I can have all the gorgeous jewelry I've ever wanted.

Baubles: Cathy Waterman Ring

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012

Oof. I just experienced an intense case of sticker shock.Cathy Waterman ring

I saw this beautiful ring on Pinterest (where else) and after some creative googling, discovered that it’s a mere $13,240 (of course it is).

It’s like every time I go into TJ Maxx and make a beeline for inevitably the most expensive handbag there.

(I guess at least I know I have good taste?)
