Photography: Duck time!

Thursday, April 5th, 2012

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spot a lovely mallard couple splashing in my pond. By the time I got my camera and lens all set, they were basking in the sun.

I normally think of mallards having green heads, but look at how brilliantly blue it is!

Eventually I got a little too close and they flew away.

The tulips are also blooming, which always makes me happy. My grandma used to have tulips in her back yard that were still coming up after years of ignoring them. I always thought that was the coolest thing.

Anything neat going on in your backyard?

Spring had Sprung

Spring had sprung, but it’s back in hiding. I have some gorgeous photos of the rain, but my Aperture library is AWOL, so until I get that figured out, I’ll leave you with some lovely sprout photos I took a few years ago.
